Ed Fraiman is an award-winning filmmaker who learned his craft at the Polish State Film School in Łódź. He has since directed over 70 episodes of television in the US and UK for Warner Brothers, Universal Pictures, CBS, BBC and Channel 4.
Recently, Ed directed and executive produced Anaconda the prequel/back-door pilot episode for the hit Warner Brothers show The 100 on the CW Network. Ed was the producing director on 29 episodes of the series, executive producing and/or directing a third of the show’s 100 episodes, spanning 7 seasons.
Prior to his work on The 100, Ed was the producing director on the first season of Impulse for UCP and YouTube Red. Other producing director credits include Secret State starring Gabriel Byrne, Charles Dance and Ruth Negga for Channel 4 TV. Ed directed and executive produced all episodes of the miniseries, which was nominated for the International Emmy Award for Best TV Movie/Miniseries and subsequently sold to over 40 Territories worldwide. Secret State is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.

Ed’s US television directing credits include 5 episode of UCP’s Royal Pains for USA Network, 4 episodes of CBS’ Life Is Wild and NBC’s The Philanthropist. Ed also directed 3 episodes in Season 1 of Merlin for Syfy and the BBC.
British television credits include directing the award-winning procedural drama Murphy's Law, A Thing Called Love, Burn It for the BBC and the critically acclaimed As If for Channel 4 TV. Ed also directed the BBC’s ShakespeaRe-Told adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Dream (BBC) which was nominated at the Banff World Media Festival for Best TV Movie.
Ed is a partner at Bigscope Films where he has executive produced a slate of feature films including Don’t Hang Up, Pressure and Alien Outpost. Consecration and Lord Of Misrule are both slated for production for the Fall of 2021.
Ed is a dual British and American citizen and resides with his family in Santa Monica, California. In his spare time, he is writing a collection of children’s books that promote environmental awareness.
